March 22, 2010//Lincoln, Neb.//Ameritas Group announced today that Dan Snyder, CLU, FLMI, state manager, will retire from the company after 36 years of service.

Snyder began his career with Bankers Life Nebraska in 1974 as an underwriting trainee. He served as director of pension sales, then moved to the group division to become group manager in 1983 and regional group manager in 1996.

In his current role as state manager, Snyder is responsible for growing a block of business of more than $65 million, as well as coaching and developing sales associates.

“Dan has consistently been one of our top performing sales associates,” said Scott Delisi, vice president, group field sales. “He has had such a positive impact on our company and our sales force has greatly benefited from his expertise and leadership.”

Snyder has been the recipient of numerous Ameritas Group Sales Awards, including the Chairman’s and President’s Awards, Gold All Star Awards, Leadership Award, Premium and Lives Production Awards and Profitability and Growth Awards. Snyder is a member of the Ameritas Group Senior Sales Council and served as its chairman from 2007 through 2009.

“It has been an incredible and rewarding journey,” said Snyder. “I will miss Ameritas a great deal, but I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my life.”
